Committed to public water management

The choice to remunicipalise water in the capital and the creation of Eau de Paris in 2010 marked the world of water. The public company has since embodied a successful model of integrated public management that it defends everywhere and on all occasions.

Significant involvement in water bodies

The public company participates in water governance at national, local and Seine-Normandy basin level. Eau de Paris is thus a member of the National Water Committee, the Basin Committee and the Board of Directors of the Seine-Normandy Water Agency, as well as the Local Water Commissions and Water water development and management around its catchment points. Each time, Eau de Paris contributes to exchanges on the various levers (regular, contractual and financial) making it possible to meet the challenges of water, and participates in the debates on the development and implementation of public policies alongside the various water stakeholders (elected officials, users, State).

A strong international presence

Having become a reference as a public water operator, Eau de Paris shares its experience in France and abroad. The company thus combines advocacy in international bodies, sharing of expertise and technical cooperation. At the invitation of the IWA (International Water Association), it joined the initiative in favor of “Water-Responsible” cities. In support of the City of Paris, manager of the 1% "water and sanitation", it has provided technical support for international cooperation in the field of water on many occasions.

In Europe and beyond, Eau de Paris defends public management through Aqua Publica Europea and France Eau Publique, which brings together more than 100 local authorities. In conjunction with the French Water Partnership, it contributes to France's presence in international water debates and bodies.

Within these structures, Eau de Paris strives to defend a shared vision of sustainable public management and makes its knowledge available to everyone. An approach recognized by the United Nations Public Service Award (category "Promoting transparency, accountability and integrity in public services"), which was awarded to him in June 2017.
