Privacy and data protection policy

Eau de Paris undertakes to take all useful precautions in order to preserve the confidentiality and security of the personal data of which it is the depositary in compliance with the regulations in force and in particular the law known as "Informatique et Libertés" n° 78-17 of January 6, 1978 amended and European Regulation 2016/679 of April 26, 2016 concerning the protection of personal data.

1. DATA COLLECTED

Eau de Paris, as data controller, ensures that it only collects data strictly necessary for the purpose of the processing carried out. In the case of a contractual relationship with Eau de Paris, certain data must imperatively be transmitted to Eau de Paris in order to ensure the creation and monitoring of your contract and to respond to your requests. Refusal to provide the information necessary to create a contract will result in the impossibility of creating said contract and accessing the service.

2. PURPOSES OF COLLECTION

The processing implemented meets explicit, legitimate and determined purposes.
The data is processed mainly for the following purposes:

  • the management of the public water service and subscriptions to the public water service (in particular request and follow-up of the subscription contract, request and follow-up of works or services, invoicing, accounting, collection, litigation, etc.);
  • monitoring the relationship of Eau de Paris with its subscribers and users (access to the newsletter, information, invitation and registration for events, participation in surveys, competitions, feedback from exhibitions, etc.) .

These purposes have been brought to the attention of the Eau de Paris data protection officer, who has included them in his register.

The processing carried out is necessary for the performance of a contract, is justified by the legitimate interest of Eau de Paris to provide the highest possible quality of service or is carried out with your consent.

Under no circumstances does Eau de Paris sell your data.

 3. DATA RECIPIENTS

Personal data may be transmitted to the relevant departments of Eau de Paris and to the relevant subcontractors of Eau de Paris. For subscribers, your data may be sent to the town hall of Paris as the organizing authority of the public water service and manager of support measures for the payment of water bills, to organizations managing sanitation services as well as to bodies issuing taxes and fees in relation to the water bill. In other cases, the list of recipients is included in the data collection form.

The data is not transferred outside the European Union except in the case of communication with Eau de Paris through social networks.

4. RETENTION OF DATA

Eau de Paris only keeps personal data for the time necessary for the operations for which it was collected, plus the legal retention periods and in compliance with the regulations in force. When collecting your data, Eau de Paris tells you what the retention period is depending on the purpose of the processing.

5. SECURITY

Eau de Paris ensures the security of personal data by implementing enhanced data protection through the use of physical and logical security means.

6. RIGHTS OF PERSONS CONCERNED

In accordance with the regulations in force, you have:

  • a right to access and rectify information concerning you;
  • a right to oppose the processing of your personal data for legitimate reasons if the conditions are met;
  • a right to erasure if the conditions are met;
  • a right to restriction of processing if the conditions are met;
  • a right to data portability if the conditions are met;
  • the right to withdraw your consent if the conditions are met;
  • the right to define general and specific directives defining the manner in which she intends to exercise these rights after her death.
